2025 is a momentous year for everyone at Williams Medical as the business celebrates a significant milestone – 20 years since the launch of its Medical Services division!

After almost two successful decades supplying medical products, Williams launched its Medical Services division in January 2005. Since then, our industry-trained and manufacturer-accredited technicians have tested thousands of products every year for customers across the UK.

Amy Dew, Head of Medical Services at Wiliams Medical, reflects on the anniversary with great pride:

“I’ve been a Williams Medical employee for over 10 years and have seen the business develop immensely during this period. Having led the Medical Services department for 3 years, I understand first-hand how important and valued the service we offer is. Our longstanding customers across the UK are testament to this, and whilst 20 years is a significant milestone for us – we’re continuing to develop our service offering to support our customers at the frontline of healthcare for the next 20 years and beyond”

Rewinding the clock to the start of our Medical Services journey, our first customer was Risca Surgery, a local Practice based near Newport – South Wales.

As with many of our medical services customers, the surgery has continued to use the service annually ever since with our local Technician, Andrew Jones. Andrew, who has worked at Williams Medical for 25 years, has been part of the Medical Services team for 18 of these years - making him one of the longest standing members of the team!

Sarah Bell, Nurse Manager at Risca Surgery, speaks highly of the service from Williams Medical and their relationship with the long-standing technician:

“I have had the pleasure of welcoming Williams to the practice every year for the last 20 years and Andrew has done the calibration visits for all 4 of our practice sites – there were only 2 when we first started. We have developed a great working relationship with Andrew, he arranges himself into a workplace and works inconspicuously within the nursing wing and liaises well with the nursing team as he completes equipment testing for each room. We assist him as needed to ensure all our equipment is then returned to each clinical room as soon as he finishes his testing.  I would highly recommend your service and the asset to your company that Andrew is!”

To celebrate our 20th year we recently visited Risca Surgery on the anniversary of their annual medical services appointment and provided them with a free service to thank them for their loyalty and continued support. It was a great opportunity to meet with the team who we have grown to know over the years as well as newer colleagues at the practice.
